Medication can be utilized as an adjunctive approach in combination with other modalities when symptoms interfere with the quality of your life. The decision to consider medication can come with questions and uncertainty. Pam’s role is to provide information and support in this area, as well as prescribe appropriate medication to aide in your quest to achieve health and well-being.
Pam’s decision to work out of Be Embodied stems from her desire to be affiliated with a team of professionals who provide comprehensive care utilizing a holistic approach, which facilitates the path for growth and change.
Pam enjoys educating clients on various issues related to psychiatric medications. She believes that having an underlying knowledge and understanding contribute to a solid foundation that enhances treatment and promotes successful outcomes.
Pam’s career in nursing began in the medical-surgical area, as well as working with the geriatric population. She developed a passion for the mental health field, and pursued and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Daemen College in 2005. In 2008, she received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University. Pam worked as a licensed mental health counselor for several years before taking the next step in her educational journey. In 2018, she graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She became board certified in August 2018. In addition to her psychiatric practice, Pam works full time at BestSelf Behavioral Health.
